It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rita Sarault on January 31, 2022. Beloved sister of Jacqueline, Michel, Hélène, Duke (late Les), Monique McBride, André and Diane Lacelle (Michel). Pre deceased by her mother Rhéa (née Bissonnette), Pauline Charbonneau (late Gaston), Gilles (Pierrette), Gisèle Saumure (Laurent), Guy (Shelley Dibranon). She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Kevin, a very special nephew, will miss her terribly. In the last few years, Rita battled many health conditions until covid caused her death. Rita has held several occupations, assistant to a photographer, working as a bookkeeper. From 1981 to 2002 Rita was the night telephone receptionist at the Delta Hotel. Her soothing voice greeted the evening callers making each feel special. Her outings during covid were limited but she enjoyed long scenic car rides while listening to music and stopping for an extended lunch. Rita will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12th 2022 at 11h a.m. at the Racine Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home. For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
