A sad accident occured yesterday afternnon at the Canadian Pacific, formely the St-Lawrencenand Ottawa railway crossing on the Montreal road, when Victor Landry, a wood dealer of 312 Clarence street, received fatal injuries from being ground under a passing train. As a result he died shortly afterwards in the Protestant hospital. His skull was fractured, brain laid bare, one leg cut completely off, and the other badly mangled. At the time of the accident Landry was in a cutter on his way home from some business he had to transact on the Montreal road. On falling to the ground he was run over by the wheels of the car. Some people nearby took the injured man to the hospital. Landry was a married man, and leaves a widow and five young children. He belonged to St-Anne's parish.

McMorrow, F. Reynolds, M. Lynch, J. Kennedy, A. Swalwell, J. Carruthers, H. Morris. After revewing the remains the jury adjourned until tonight.
