TO INQUIRE INTO DEATH OF BOY WHO WAS RUN DOWN
The funeral of Theodore Landry, the seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Landry, of 307 Rideau street, who died from injuries received when he was knocked down by an ice wagon takes place this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The young boy was kned down by an ice wagon at the corner of Nelson and York streets sustaining concussion of the brain. Mr. A. Boyer, ice merchant of St-Andrew street who was driving the ice wagon states thet a little girl was reflecting the rays of the sun from a mirror into the young Landry's eyes and when he started to run across the street he collided with awheel of the wagon. Mr. Boyer immediatley stopped the wagon whenhe saw that the boy was injured and he was taken into a nearby store and afterwards brought home. Dr. H. B. Small attended to him.
Besides his parents he his survived by one brother, Arthur and two sisters, Eilleen and Esther. The young lad was attending Breboeuf shool and was a very bright young pupil. Coroner Craig will conduct an inquest into the cause of his deatn the Police station on Tuesday night. The remains of the boy were viewed by the coroner last evening and a jury has been empanelled for the inquest.
